The Panama City Symphony String Academy is an after-school ensemble for students in 5th–8th grade (ages 10–15) who are interested in learning violin, viola, cello, or double bass. The program provides structured, high-quality musical education in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Through regular rehearsals, students develop strong technical skills, learn effective rehearsal habits, and experience the teamwork needed to perform confidently as an ensemble. They also participate in community performances that highlight their progress. Beyond music, the String Academy builds discipline, confidence, creativity, and collaboration—qualities that support students in all areas of life.

We are committed to making music education accessible to all families.
Students build strong musicianship by developing solid technique, learning to rehearse with purpose, and performing confidently as part of an ensemble. The String Academy nurtures musical literacy, creativity, and personal growth in a supportive environment aligned with leading youth string programs and national music standards.
Students will participate in at least one end-of-semester performance, giving them an opportunity to share their progress with family, friends, and the community.
Parents play a vital role in student success. Encouraging regular practice at home, ensuring students arrive prepared and on time, and volunteering at concerts all contribute to a positive and rewarding musical experience for every child.
